One address reaches us: editorial@hairdryerlab.ca. Use it for corrections, research data requests, press enquiries and general feedback. We cannot help with orders, returns or warranty claims, because we are not a retailer and we hold no stock — for those, contact the seller or the brand directly.
Where to send what
Getting this wrong wastes your time, so here is the split.
| Your question | Who to contact | Why |
|---|---|---|
| An error on one of our pages | editorial@hairdryerlab.ca | We own our content and correct it |
| Requesting our review dataset | editorial@hairdryerlab.ca | We publish much of it already on our method page |
| Press or media enquiry | editorial@hairdryerlab.ca | We can provide figures and context |
| Feedback on a guide | editorial@hairdryerlab.ca | We read all of it |
| Order, delivery or return | The retailer you bought from | We hold no stock and have no order access |
| Warranty claim or repair | The brand or the seller | Warranty is between you and them |
| A price being out of date | editorial@hairdryerlab.ca | We re-check monthly and correct on report |
| Asking us to remove a criticism | Nobody — we will not | See our editorial policy |
Corrections
We correct pages rather than quietly editing them. If something on this site is wrong, tell us and we will fix it and change the page’s last-updated date so the change is visible.
What helps us act fastest:
- The page URL and the specific sentence or figure you believe is wrong
- What you believe is correct, and where that comes from if you have a source
- Whether it affects a recommendation or just a detail — recommendation-affecting corrections get priority
What we will not do: remove or soften criticism of a product because a brand, seller or representative asks. Our editorial policy explains why, and the commitment is written there rather than here so it cannot be quietly dropped.
If we got something materially wrong, we will say so in the page itself rather than only in a reply to you.
Data and research requests
Much of what we use is already published, so start with our methodology page. It covers our sample size, the date span, the verified-purchase share, how reviews are coded, and the limitations of the dataset.
What we can generally support:
- Confirming headline figures such as sample size, median reported failure time, and complaint rate by price band
- Explaining how a specific number was derived
- Context on what our data does and does not support
What we will not do:
- Provide reviewer personal information. We do not hold it, and we would not share it if we did
- Present our review analysis as a controlled study. It is an analysis of existing public reviews, and we describe it that way
- Let a figure be quoted without its limitation. If you quote the 3.37-star sample average, quote the caveat that comes with it
If you are a journalist, tell us your deadline and the specific claim you need to check. We would rather correct a misquote before publication than after.
What we cannot help with
Saying this clearly saves everyone time.
- Orders, deliveries and returns — Hair Dryer Lab is not a retailer. We hold no stock, we have no order system, and we cannot look up your purchase
- Warranty claims and repairs — these are between you and the seller or brand. If a listing has multiple sellers, the Buy Box holder is the counterparty to approach first
- Price matching or discounts — we do not sell, and we cannot obtain a discount for you
- Product recommendations by email — we do not give individual buying advice outside our published guides. Our best hair dryers guide and hair type guides cover the common cases
- Removing a critical review of a product — see Corrections above
Feedback we find most useful
The most valuable messages we get are specific ones.
- “This figure is wrong and here is the right one” — with a source, this is the single most useful email we receive
- “This price is out of date” — we re-check monthly, and reports help
- “This model is not actually dual voltage” — specification errors matter, because buyers act on them
- “My unit failed at month X in this way” — this is genuinely useful evidence, and it feeds the durability picture our data says buyers care about most. Tell us the model and roughly when it failed
What we cannot do with anecdote. A single report that a dryer failed is not enough to change a recommendation. Our data covers thousands of reviews, and a recommendation moves when the pattern moves. But reports help us decide what to investigate next.

Frequently asked questions
How do I contact Hair Dryer Lab? Email editorial@hairdryerlab.ca. That single address reaches the editorial team for corrections, data requests, press enquiries and general feedback. We do not operate a phone line or a live chat.
Can you help with my order or warranty claim? No, and we want to be direct about that. Hair Dryer Lab is not a retailer and holds no stock. For an order, return or warranty claim you need the seller or the brand directly. We do not have access to any retailer account or order system.
How do I report an error on your site? Email editorial@hairdryerlab.ca with the page URL and what you believe is wrong. If we confirm the error we correct the page and change its last-updated date, rather than editing it silently. We do not remove criticism of a product on request from a brand.
Can I use your review data? Journalists and researchers are welcome to ask. Much of it is already published on our methodology page, including sample size, spans and the limitations of the dataset. We will tell you what we can and cannot support before you build on it.
How long does a reply take? We aim to reply within a few working days. Corrections that affect a factual claim are treated as a priority over general feedback. If a correction changes a recommendation, we update the page first and reply afterwards.
Do you accept guest posts or sponsored content? We do not accept guest posts. If we ever publish sponsored content it will be clearly labelled as sponsored and excluded from rankings. No brand has paid for a ranking, a rating or the removal of a criticism.
